Work Background: Currently serves as Judge on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. From 1971 to 1990, he served Philadelphia Family Court. Paul was elected to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in 1991.

Endorsed by: NRA (A rating), Citizens Against Higher Taxes, PA Pro-Life Federation, Life PAC, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Summary: I asked Judge Panepinto why I should vote for him rather Anne Covey. Here is an excerpt from his emailed reply:
“…. as a Judge I have the experience for yrs of dedicated service and you do not have to guess what I will do as a loyal Republican and Conservative. She has little to no record for doing trial work .Also check out her Questionnaire attached. She works mainly in NJ ( see pg 3, 1996 to present in Lambertville, NJ, and was only in court 2 cases in 5yrs. (pg 6, Ques 5d) That is from her own words. I have been a lifetime PA resident ,lawyer and Judge….Thanks for asking and I hope you make the right choice. Judge Paul”

Anne Covey

Bio: Judge Paul lives in Philadelphia, PA.

Work Background: Anne has served as an assistant counsel to the PLRB, a Commonwealth Court
law clerk, a practicing attorney and a Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board Member.

1. Accessibility? Good. She has a Contact button and form displayed clearly on her website.
2. Pro-Life? Yes.
3. Pro-2nd Amendment? ???

Endorsed by: Pat Toomey, PA Pro-Life Federation, LIFEPAC, PAMPAC

Summary: Anne Covey comes across as generally a good candidate but nothing stands out. Her website is not very transparent. The more I read her website, the more questions I had (that is not a good thing).

Personal Opinion: Judge Paul Panepinto is the best candidate. Judge Paul’s website is well-written, concise, and more transparent. In comparison to Anne’s experience, his experience and qualifications seem to be more relevant to the Commonwealth Court (see his printed email above). I encourage you to read both websites and come to your own conclusion.
